In keeping with the station's semesterly tradition, Fredonia Radio Systems hosted Radiothon over the weekend, featuring 24 consecutive hours of live radio.
Radiothon kicked off with "High Noon Friday," hosted by Izzie, Sara and Tatum.
High Noon Friday is the nation's longest-running college radio show, as the variety show began all the way back in 1984.
Megan and Karie hosted "We Can't Stop Talking" at 1 p.m., and they were followed up by three recurring FRS shows who hosted special Radiothon episodes: "Modern Metal Music Mayhem" with Micah and Ryan, "Ryan's Recreational Ruckus" with Ryan and "Dual Screens" with Brian and Jonathan.
At 5 p.m., Justin and Lee hosted "Hot Ones," drawing inspiration from an internet show where guests eat wings of varying hotness and answer some questions.
Justin returned to host his show, "New Music Friday," at 6 p.m., and he was followed by Shelby and Lee with "Peculiar Happenings," a WDVL show inspired by the hit Netflix show "Stranger Things."
Melissa and Justin talked about iconic music videos on "The Melissa and Justin Show" at 8 p.m., and Jermaine from the campus's Counseling Center presented "Chew On This" at 9 p.m.
Scott and MK hosted "Power Hour" at 10 p.m., and Izzie finished off Friday night with "Izzie's Hyperfixation Hour."
The early hours of Saturday morning came with a special episode of another legacy show, as "Lovercall" hosted its "Lovercallers Special."
The anonymous, award-winning late night show on love and relationships typically airs at 10 p.m. every Wednesday on WDVL, but The Quarterback, The Musician and Radio Rebel hosted an hour-long episode where they answered questions submitted by other students.
They were joined by the show's former executive producer, The Electrician, as well as two guests, The Doctor and Bumblebee.
Dan and Justin hosted a Star-Wars themed show called "Cantina Cast" at 1 a.m., and at 2 a.m., Billie hosted a "Love is Blind" card game tournament.
Matthew and Isabella brought "Transmission Interference" to the airwaves at 3 a.m., and Scott followed that up with "MJ Hour," a show paying tribute to musician Michael Johnathon.
Afterwards, Liam was on the air for back-to-back shows, hosting "Chiptune on your Shoulder" and "Remix Hour."
Scott returned to host "Risk of Rain" at 7 a.m., and Andrea and Kevin hosted "Andrea Talks About Their Favorite Band, And Kevin's There Too" at 8 a.m.
Elena, Olivia and Dan aired "Meet Me at the Equator" at 9 a.m., and FRS alum Jerry Drummond hosted his weekly show "Blues for Breakfast" at 10 a.m.
Another regular WDVL show, "The After Hours," was on the air with London at 11 a.m., and Radiothon concluded with "The Big Cheeseburger Challenge" at noon, hosted by Matt.
"The Big Cheeseburger Challenge" is another tradition of Radiothon, where contestants see how quickly they can eat a burger containing four patties and four slices of bacon.
This year's winner was Brian Valencia, taking the title with a time of 9 minutes and 27 seconds.
For this year's Radiothon, FRS partnered with Buffalo Iron Works, a Buffalo-based music venue in the Cobblestone district, to give away two tickets to an upcoming show.
Pistol Pete won two tickets to see Mac Sabbath on Tuesday, May 6, and the winner was announced after the conclusion of "The Big Cheeseburger Challenge."
Traditions continue at FRS as the spring semester comes to a close, and Radiothon will return again in December.
