TOP FIVE ARTISTS OF THE WEEK:

RADIOHEAD: A Moon Shaped Pool is the ninth studio album by this English rock band and it is the fifth Radiohead album to be nominated for the Mercury Prize. Patrick Ryan of USA Today wrote that “the brooding, symphonic and poignant A Moon Shaped Pool … was well worth the wait.”

JOSEPH: A band of three sisters - Natalie, Allison, and Meegan Closner - hailing from Portland, Oregon, have released their second album, I’m Alone, No You’re Not. The band made their television debut performing the single, “White Flag”, on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, followed by appearances on CONAN and CBS This Morning. Prior to their album’s release, the band was named a Spotify Spotlight Artist and toured with James Bay.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS: The Getaway is the eleventh studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. This is the band’s first studio album since 2011’s I’m with You. Nate Chinen of the New York Times gave the album a positive review stating “It doesn’t sound exactly like classic-vintage Chili Peppers, but it might just sound like how you remember them.”

CORINNE BAILEY RAE: A British singer, songwriter and guitarist from Leeds, England, who is most famous for her 2006 single, “Put Your Records On”. The Heart Speaks in Whispers is her third studio album, and Ebyan Abdigir of Exclaim! magazine called the album “thoughtful and light, with an emotional range and sharp artistic direction that was lacking on her past records.”

WHITNEY: An American indie-rock band from Chicago, have released their debut album, Light Upon the Lake, in June 2016 and are now touring internationally. Paul Lester in the Guardian described the band as “think Bon Iver, with elements of folk and country, only given a Chicago soul makeover”
