Show Spotlight: Sunday Sessions

Are you stuck with the Sunday blues? Well, Sunday Sessions with Melissa can help turn your day around!

Every week, Melissa creates a playlist made up of mainly folk music with some jazz mixed in. To create her unique playlists, Melissa goes through her extensive iTunes library and, “connects the dots with song beginnings and endings.” She likes to chose her first song as one that will warm her listener’s ears up. Her favorite artists to play include Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, the Grateful Dead, Van Morrison, Billie Holiday, and Cat Stevens.

Melissa said her show, “provides [her] with an opportunity to do a show that’s more [her] style and share great music with [her] listeners as they ease into Sunday morning.” She enjoys sharing great music that may not see the light of day otherwise- music that needs to be dusted off.
